KRØLL's UNIQUE SURFACE TREATMENT PROCESS

26-01.jpg (53391 bytes)
After welding, all structural members
are shotblast to clean metal.
This is done manually in order to fully cover
every square inch, incl. "shielded" areas.

26-02.jpg (42150 bytes)
26-03.jpg (42457 bytes) Immediately after shotblasting
components are metallized.
An aluminum-zinc alloy is fused onto the steel,
where it stays on with molecular attraction.
The protective layer is homogenous
with the steel and cannot flake off.
Paint is applied with airless-electrostatic gun.
A proprietary paint formulation and spraying process
allows virtually unlimited coat thickness w/o runs.
26-05.jpg (33625 bytes)
26-04.jpg (30425 bytes) With thick glossy paint
some pieces look as molded plastic.
Contact surfaces needing good friction are masked.
